# Free-Form Note Apps The 'Vesper' App Lets You Take Notes in the Most Natural Way Possible By Alexander Lam | Published 2013-06-07 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vesper-app References: [laughingsquid](http://laughingsquid.com/vesper-a-flexible-note-taking-app-for-ios/) & [itunes.apple](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id655895325) Instead of confining you to typing out lines of text, the 'Vesper App' allows you to take notes any way you like. When making a note, the app lets you insert photos, drag things around to rearrange them and tag whatever you'd like. Vesper's flexible nature comes from the fact that it does not force a system on you. As a result, you can take notes in the most natural way possible. By tagging your notes, Vesper gives you an organic way to organize and use them. Notes are automatically organized by tag on the sidebar for you to easily access. Just tag something and it appears organized in a subcategory. When creating tags, recently used ones pop up so that you can easily tag your items. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Free-form Note Taking:** Opportunity to develop innovative note-taking apps that allow users to take notes in a more flexible and natural way. - **Natural Language Processing:** Opportunity to integrate natural language processing into note-taking apps to allow for seamless organization and searchability of notes. - **Data Visualization:** Opportunity to develop data visualization tools within note-taking apps to better understand and analyze note content. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Software Development:** Software developers could capitalize on this trend by creating free-form note-taking apps with unique features. - **Productivity Tools:** Productivity tools could integrate free-form note-taking apps as part of their suite of features to offer more comprehensive organization and task management. - **Artificial Intelligence:** Artificial intelligence companies could explore the potential of natural language processing and data visualization in creating more intuitive and intelligent note-taking apps. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Smart Note Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/notetoos.md) - [Minimalist Note-Taking Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scratchpad.md) - [AI Note-Taking Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/powernotes.md) - [Raw Thought Organization Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/memosa-app.md) - [Accessible Note Managers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/notes-taking-app.md) - [Note Management Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aipowered-notes-app.md) - [Creative Infinite Whiteboard Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freeform-app.md) - [Voice-Powered Note-Taking](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instanote.md) - [Private Note-Taking Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manifest-app.md)
