Created in collaboration with Schiavello, a sustainable design and furniture company, the Vertical Garden features [individual pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auk-mini) that are held in a steel grid. This allows different flowers, plants and herbs to be kept without having to worry about keeping them in multiple spots around the home. Focused on making the biggest impact with the least amount of space, the vertical indoor garden can be utilized as a spot to hold many or just a few plants. The rest of the space in the Vertical Garden can be repurposed as a spot to hold [books or decor items](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treevive). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 58% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Open-concept Design:** Incorporate open-concept design into various industries for a more inviting and airy aesthetic. - **Vertical Gardening:** Incorporate vertical gardening in urban settings as a space-saving solution for growing plants. - **Sustainable Design:** Incorporate sustainable design principles into interior design for more eco-friendly living spaces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Incorporate the Vertical Garden design into interior design for an organic and spacious aesthetic. - **Urban Farming:** Incorporate vertical gardening in urban spaces to promote sustainable growing practices in an urban setting. - **Furniture Design:** Incorporate sustainable design principles into furniture design to provide eco-friendly but functional designs that merge with the natural environment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Furniture-Inspired Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indoor-garden-system.md) - [Indoor Air Quality-Improving Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elpo-indoor-vertical-garden.md) - [Minimalist Indoor Gardening Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balconyfarm-pot.md) - [Gardening Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/verda-garden.md) - [Mini Mess-Free Garden Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponics-garden.md) - [Building Block Gardening Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-planterior.md) - [Smart Indoor Hydroponics Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-modular-indoor-hydroponics-garden-grow-vegetables-and-herbs-automatic.md) - [Space-Saving Hydroponic Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-hydroponic-garden-tower.md) - [Wall-Mounted Hydroponic Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroartpod.md)
