There’s hardly a shortage of eccentricity in the fashion world, as proven by the Versace Men Spring 2013 collection. Donatella Versace is no stranger to creating fantastically outrageous looks that inspire and innovate—this most recent release is no exception.
Feast your eyes on the extravagantly loud aesthetic of the collection that re-launched the House of Versace’s return to swimwear. Style.com’s Tim Banks describes it as "Part Rocky, part Elvis, part Mr. T," and "A Roman orgy staged in a Miami discotheque."
Needless to say, the reference to fight-wear might strike a cord with men who are inclined to machismo and superhero fanaticism. The always-exemplary tailoring of the more conservative looks and their luxe fabrics balances the eccentricity of the opening looks. The collection is, overall, an entertaining and original take on Spring 2013.
