The biotransformable cup was developed through a collaboration between eGreen International and Polymateria, and is capable of being fully recycled through existing curbside programs. The cup, however, is also capable of safely breaking down should it not be properly disposed of without leaving any toxic residues or microplastics behind. The VeriGreen Plus bio-based cup will be debuted at the Packaging Innovations & Empack 2026 in the UK that's taking place from February 11 to 12, 2026.
