Consisting of [planters that are held above](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/attic-above-garden) the grates, the Air Garden works to help hide the unsightly grates from view without restricting their use as a ventilation system. The Air Garden is the design work of Mihyun Cho and Jiyoon Lee, and would enable [grass to be planted](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponics-garden) overtop. As gusts of wind travel up the vent grate the grass would dance in the breeze to create a visual experience for urban citizens to enjoy rather than having to stare at essential but unsightly grates. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Ventilation System Redesign:** Opportunity for designers to create more aesthetically pleasing and visually engaging ventilation systems. - **Urban Beautification:** Chance to incorporate green spaces into urban environments to enhance aesthetics and improve citizen well-being. - **Disguised Infrastructure:** Opportunity to hide essential infrastructure elements from view to maintain a more visually appealing urban landscape. ### Who This Affects Most - **Urban Planning:** Urban planners can explore innovative ways to incorporate green spaces and aesthetic designs into infrastructure projects. - **Architecture and Design:** Architects and designers can develop new strategies to integrate functional infrastructure elements seamlessly with the surrounding environment. - **Environmental Sustainability:** Experts in environmental sustainability can explore solutions that promote the integration of nature and infrastructure for a greener and more livable urban environment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Indoor Air Quality-Improving Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elpo-indoor-vertical-garden.md) - [Air Purifying Architectural Towers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/verto-air-purification.md) - [Plant-Supporting Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/florapur-air-purifier-concept.md) - [Plant-Shaped Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artsy-air-purifiers.md) - [Furniture-Inspired Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indoor-garden-system.md) - [Urban Roofscape Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/central-yards.md) - [Minimalist Purifying Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blow.md) - [Aeroponic Desktop Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/izestee.md) - [Mini Mess-Free Garden Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponics-garden.md)
