Created using sustainable materials, the 'Driveco Parsol' is covered with 88 photovoltaic panels that soak up solar energy and utilize it for the station below or transfer it to other stations that need it in the region. This helps to ensure the vehicle charging station and others within the region are never out of use because of inclement weather or overcasting. The 'Driveco Parsol' is capable of charing up to seven vehicles at a time including [electric vehicles, ebikes and/or scooters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiler-compact). Conceptual at present, the Peugeot Design Lab 'Driveco Parsol' has been commissioned for implementation at Bastia, France and could help to revolutionize the design of charging stations. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Sustainable Vehicle Charging:** The rise of electric vehicles creates opportunities for sustainable charging stations with disruptive innovations in green energy and material sources. - **Photovoltaic Power Integration:** The integration of photovoltaic panels as a primary energy source in vehicle charging stations presents opportunities for improved energy efficiency and cost savings. - **Multi-vehicle Charging:** The development of charging stations capable of accommodating multiple vehicle types offers opportunities for more convenient and efficient charging access in urban environments. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Renewable Energy:** The renewable energy industry has a disruptive innovation opportunity to provide green energy solutions for charging stations through harnessing solar power. - **Electric Vehicle Manufacturing:** Electric vehicle manufacturers have the opportunity to collaborate in designing charging stations with innovative features that enhance performance and convenience for their customers. - **Smart City Infrastructure:** The development of efficient and sustainable multi-vehicle charging stations presents opportunities for the smart city industry to improve urban transportation infrastructure and reduce the environmental impact of transportation. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Scalable EV Charging Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/epit-ultra-fast-charging-station.md) - [Sustainable EV Charging Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/change-wind-corporation.md) - [Street Lamp Charging Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamppost-ev-charger.md) - [Experiential EV Charging Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porsche-charging-lounge.md) - [Unwinding Multifunctional Charging Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/better-energy-charge.md) - [Artistic Lamppost EV Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/voltpost.md) - [Solar-Powered eBike Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beambike.md) - [Mobile Car-Charging Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moving-electric-charging-station.md) - [Eco EV Charging Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retail-and-electric-vehicle-charging-station.md)
