The system works by being installed and automatically detecting the smartphone of the driver in order to confirm whether or not they need to perform a breathalyzer test. This will enable parents to put restrictions in place for young drivers and require them to prove they haven't been drinking before getting behind the wheel. The 'Not Your Child' ignition interlock vehicle breathalyzer also provides administrators with a way to add in a geofence to let parents keep track of a child's whereabouts and even get alerts if they go to places they shouldn't. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Family-focused Vehicle Safety:** Creating innovative solutions to prevent drunk driving and promote safety within the family unit. - **Smartphone Integration for Car Safety:** Integrating smartphone technology with vehicle safety systems to create seamless and effective safety measures. - **Geofencing for Parental Control:** Using location-based technology to enable parents to keep track of their children's whereabouts and promote responsible behavior. ### Who This Affects Most - **Automotive:** Advancing vehicle technology to incorporate new safety features and promote responsible driving practices. - **Mobile Technology:** Developing cutting-edge smartphone technology that integrates with vehicle safety systems to increase effectiveness. - **Child Safety:** Innovating new solutions for parents to monitor and protect their children, both inside and outside of the car. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Vehicular Child Safety Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/child-safety-system.md) - [Drunk Driving Detection Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drunk-driving-detection.md) - [Workplace-Focused Alcohol Breathalyzers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alcohol-breathalyzers.md) - [Intoxication-Indicating AI Technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drunkdriving-detection.md) - [Revolutionary Alcohol Detection Software](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alcohol-detection-software.md) - [Safe Play-Training Kids Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touchnot.md) - [Impaired Judgment Phone Controls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drunk-mode-locker.md) - [Child-Centric Concept Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/childcentric-compact-luxury-suv.md) - [Noninvasive Breathing Trackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-breath-analysis.md)
