The Vegetable Weapon photo series is symbolic on a few levels. At first glance, it appears to be advocating a fight against unhealthy foods. Nevertheless, the photographer behind the series has a completely different purpose for these powerful images.

Put together by Japanese photographer Tsuyoshi Ozawa, the Vegetable Weapon photo series was shot around the world. She asked women to compile [ingredients that would make](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-wins) a [popular local dish](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bol-protein-power-pots). These ingredients were then bound together to form firearms. After posing with the 'guns,' they were dismantled and thrown into a cooking pot to create a delicious meal. Ozawa writes, "What was the parodying of a war scene turns into a scene of ordinariness and interaction in the form of the sharing of a meal."
