# Wall-Mounted Fireplaces Vauni Cupola Moves the Company's Signature Fireplace to the Wall By Jessica Marcel | Published 2010-03-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vauni-cupola References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/vauni-cupola/) & [vauni](http://www.vauni.com/index.php/Cupola.html) The Cupola is a new design from Vauni, whose most well-known fireplace bears a resemblance to Pac-Man. The Vauni Cupola [mounts to the wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreo-wh517s) and provides a modern way to warm your home. The floating design makes the Vauni Cupola more like art than a functional piece of furniture. The Vauni Cupola doesn't look like it could actually work, but it does. A [floating fireplace](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fireplace-designs) is both fashionable and functional. **Implications** - This fireplace is perfect for those who look for classic designs that work in a contemporary style. Combining a chic aesthetic with a practical element, the design would make any space as comfortable and inviting as it is good to look at. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 99% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Wall-mounted Fireplaces:** The Vauni Cupola offers a new design trend for a more modern and stylish approach to heating homes. - **Functional Art:** The floating design of the Vauni Cupola combines aesthetics and functionality, paving the way for more innovative product designs. - **Classic Design for Contemporary Spaces:** The Vauni Cupola offers a trend for combining classic and contemporary design to create a comfortable and inviting space. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** The Vauni Cupola inspires a trend towards integrating functional pieces of art into home decor. - **Heating & Cooling:** The Vauni Cupola provides an opportunity for innovation in the heating industry by merging functionality with aesthetics. - **Furniture:** The floating design trend observed in the Vauni Cupola offers opportunities for disruption in the furniture industry, allowing for more creative and flexible designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Slick Modern Holographic Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holographic-fireplace.md) - [Portable Cylindrical Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecosmart-fire-pillar-3t.md) - [Mixed-Material Tabletop Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brasscene-harmony-flame-fireplace.md) - [Eco-Friendly Bioethanol Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glammfire-contour.md) - [Convenient Personal Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personal-fireplace1.md) - [Cooking-Friendly Outdoor Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/regg-surprise.md) - [Mid-Century-Inspired Wood-Burning Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodburning-appliance.md) - [Flatpack Virtual Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graphene-radiator.md) - [Communal Fireplace Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hearth-coffee-table.md)
