Notably, the all-new Vanilla flavor isn't called a rum, like many of the other [flavored rums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mango-lime-rum) that the brand produces, although it is made from rum with natural flavorings. This new rum-based spirit was made to be paired with cola or used in [rum-based cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/v-rum-canned-cocktails). While some cocktail recipes call for the use of vanilla syrups of liqueurs, this flavored product has the potential to simplify cocktail-making. The Vanilla Spirit Drink introduces a first-of-its-kind bottle for the brand, and it's a clear one that shows off the caramel color of the liquid. This new clear bottle design is not only a standout but one that is made using increased volumes of recycled glass. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 17% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 15% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Vanilla-flavored Spirits:** As the newest vanilla-flavored rum-based spirit hits the market, there is an increasing trend in the production and sale of vanilla-flavored spirits. - **Clear Bottle Designs:** The launch of the Vanilla Spirit Drink in a clear bottle that is made using increased volumes of recycled glass is indicative of a trend toward clear bottle designs in the spirits industry. - **Simplified Cocktail-making:** With the introduction of the new vanilla-flavored rum-based spirit, there is a trend toward producing flavored products that simplify cocktail-making by eliminating the need for additional liqueurs or syrups. ### Where This Applies - **Spirits Industry:** The spirits industry is seeing a trend toward producing flavored spirits, such as vanilla-flavored rum-based spirits, to appeal to consumers' changing tastes. - **Beverage Industry:** The beverage industry at large, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, is seeing a trend toward clear bottle designs that showcase the appearance of the liquid and are made using increased volumes of recycled glass. - **Hospitality Industry:** With simplified cocktail-making becoming a trend, the hospitality industry can capitalize on the production of flavored spirits that eliminate the need for additional liqueurs or syrups, making the cocktail-making process easier and faster. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Smooth Vanilla Rum Spirits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dead-mans-fingers-vanilla-rum.md) - [Tequila-Based Cream Liqueurs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cream-liqueurs.md) - [Expertly Crafted Rum Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canned-rum-cocktail.md) - [Berry-Flavored Cream Liqueurs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dead-mans-fingers-cream-liqueur.md) - [Creamy Raspberry Rum Liqueurs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raspberry-rum-cream-liqueur.md) - [Spiced Non-Alcoholic Rum Spirits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dead-mans-fingers-spiced-00.md) - [Fruit-Flavored Cream Liqueurs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dead-mans-fingers-1.md) - [Fruit-Forward Spiced Rums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-spiced-rum.md) - [Nostalgic Cherry Spiced Rums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/captain-morgan-cherry-vanilla.md)
