Architect Oliver Lang and Vanglo's Martin Warren are behind this Vancouver home, located at 135 East 17th Avenue.

Considering Vanglo's commitment to [sustainable construction](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rewild-homes), the duo worked together to create one of the most [Energy Star](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/affordable-luxury-home) efficient homes in the area. The objective of the design was to enhance the environment, inaugurate new design principals and ensure energy efficiency. The architect-builder duo were also conscientious about deconstructing the previous home, transferring most of the waste materials to a facility that turns wood into bioethanol.

The new home built in its place features a [multi-faceted exterior and complex geometry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neville-park-residence), which, together, creates a fully flexible home. Warren explains, “With the unique property setting, we knew we had to be creative and maximize the space to its full potential without compromising the design and I think we have achieved that."
