# Chic Recycled Material Furniture The 'Vale' Furniture Collection is Made with Recycled PET Bottles By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2023-06-24 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vale-furniture-collection References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2023/06/23/layer-introduces-a-collection-of-eco-friendly-chairs-and-stools-made-from-recycled-pet-bottles/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=layer-introduces-a-collection-of-eco-friendly-chairs-and-stools-made-from-recycled-pet-bottles) & [layerdesign](https://layerdesign.com/) The 'Vale' furniture collection has been designed by [LAYER](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sustainable-felt-furniture) and [KFI Studios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vale-collection) as a series of chairs and stools that prioritize a sleek construction as well as an eco-friendly aesthetic. Each of the chairs are crafted out of [recycled PET bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crafting-plastic), which gives them a more sustainable profile and also a different kind of texture. The chairs are held together with bolts and a steel frame that enables quick disassembly to recycle all the components at the end of the product's life. The styles include a chair, armchair, lounge chair, an ottoman, and a series of high and low stools. Benjamin Hubert of LAYER commented on the 'Vale' furniture collection saying, "The Vale collection is a study in restraint – in materials, form, and design language – that echoes the restraint required to live responsibly in today’s world. In doing so, it celebrates the mindful approach of Layer as a design studio." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.8/10 - Popularity: 98% | Activity: 89% | Freshness: 16% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Sustainable Furniture:** The 'Vale' furniture collection showcases the trend of using recycled materials to create eco-friendly and stylish furniture. - **Circular Economy Design:** The use of recycled PET bottles in the 'Vale' furniture collection exemplifies the trend of designing products with disassembly and recycling in mind. - **Minimalist Aesthetic:** The sleek and minimalist design of the 'Vale' furniture collection reflects the trend of prioritizing simplicity and elegance in furniture design. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** The use of recycled materials and minimalist aesthetic in the 'Vale' furniture collection presents opportunities for interior designers to incorporate sustainable and stylish furniture in their projects. - **Sustainable Manufacturing:** The production of furniture using recycled PET bottles creates opportunities for manufacturers to contribute to the circular economy and reduce waste. - **Eco-friendly Retail:** Retailers specializing in eco-friendly products can take advantage of the growing demand for sustainable furniture by featuring the 'Vale' furniture collection in their stores. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Recycled Plastic Felt Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vale-collection.md) - [Sustainable Felt Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sustainable-felt-furniture.md) - [Stylish Furniture Rental Programs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/valiant.md) - [Chic Recycled Waste Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xox-chair.md) - [Collapsible Recycled Bottle Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sustainable-folding-stool.md) - [3D-Printed Recycled Material Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loom-furniture-collection.md) - [Textured Recycled Plastic Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fiber-chair-family.md) - [Eco-Friendly Lounge Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/recyclable-lounge-chair.md) - [Sustainably Minded Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conscious-chair.md)
