# Audio-Enhancing Phone Cases The V-Moda Vamp Improves the Sound Quality of Mobile Devices By Sarah Moore | Published 2012-06-14 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/v-moda-vamp References: [gizmag](http://www.gizmag.com/v-moda-vamp/22924/) & [v-moda](http://v-moda.com/VAMP/) While it is certainly convenient to use one's smartphone for both its calling and audio features, the sound quality will certainly be lacking without the [V-MODA](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vmoda-hexamove-pro-earbuds) VAMP case attached to the phone. Although uploading high-quality audio files and purchasing [high-grade headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fender-x-teufel) can help one to improve the sound performance of their phone, there is little else that one can do to ensure that they have stereo-quality sound on-the-go. With V-MODA's case however, the internal speaker system of most smartphones is bypassed and the audio is instead played through the case's [external amplifier](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magboom-mini). Not to worry though, a dedicated battery system to charge the powerful amplifier is incorporated into the case so as to not drain the phone's battery. The case is also impressively durable, making it the perfect companion for klutzy audiophiles with butterfingers. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 64% | Activity: 66% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Enhanced Audio Performance:** The V-Moda Vamp case improves the sound quality of mobile devices, offering potential disruptive innovation opportunities in the audio industry. - **Mobile Device Accessories:** The rising popularity of audio-enhancing phone cases like the V-Moda Vamp presents opportunities for disruption in the mobile accessories industry. - **On-the-go Sound Amplification:** The V-Moda Vamp case bypasses the internal speaker system of smartphones and plays audio through an external amplifier, opening up disruptive innovation possibilities for portable sound solutions. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Audio Equipment:** Audio-enhancing phone cases represent a disruptive innovation opportunity in the audio equipment industry by offering a portable solution for improving sound quality on mobile devices. - **Mobile Technology:** The V-Moda Vamp case and similar products have the potential to disrupt the mobile technology industry by providing users with an enhanced audio experience for their smartphones. - **Consumer Electronics:** The demand for audio-enhancing phone cases contributes to disruptive innovation opportunities in the consumer electronics industry, particularly in the accessories segment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Posh Power-Free Smartphone Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amplifying-speaker.md) - [Magnetic Smartphone Audio Amplifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hires-headphone-amplifier.md) - [Customizable Bluetooth Amplifier Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whooshi-portable-amplifier.md) - [High-Performance Spring-Loaded Earbuds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hmd-amped-buds.md) - [Smartphone Audio DAC Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campfire-audio-dac-wallet.md) - [Cutting-Edge Headphone Amps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/astell-kern.md) - [Speaker-Centric Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/music-phone.md) - [Compact Audio Amplifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fiio-snowsky-tiny.md) - [Dialogue-Enhancing Earphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zvox.md)
