# USB Heating Slippers These Slippers Plug into a USB Portal to Provide Feet with All-over Warmth By Charlotte Joyce Kidd | Published 2015-09-21 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/usb-heating References: [usb.brando](http://usb.brando.com/usb-heating-slippers-v_p02091c0050d015.html) Perfect for working at a desk or cozying up for a night of Netflix, these USB heating slippers provide warmth to the wearer's feet via any USB portal. The USB heating slippers channel energy from a computer with a handy, detachable USB cord. Simply plug them into any USB portal, and they will power up to warm cold feet. Using infrared technology, the USB heating provides all-over warmth that's never too hot. The slippers themselves are a comfortable, pillow-like velour model -- even on moderately cold days, they can be worn without the USB heating attachment as a luxurious, toasty traditional slipper. A zipper at the bottom of the USB heating slipper allows the heating technology to be removed for easy washing. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Life](https://www.trendhunter.com/life) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **USB Heating Slippers:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop USB heating technology for other wearable accessories like gloves or hats. - **USB Portal Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate USB portal technology into various household items, such as blankets or seat cushions, for personalized temperature control. - **Infrared Heating Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the use of infrared heating technology in medical devices to provide targeted heat therapy for pain relief. ### Who This Affects Most - **Personal Accessories:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a line of technologically advanced personal accessories that integrate USB heating, attracting consumers seeking comfort and convenience. - **Home Furnishings:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design USB-powered heating elements that can be integrated into furniture, allowing users to adjust and control the temperature for enhanced comfort. - **Healthcare:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop infrared heating devices for healthcare facilities, offering non-invasive heat therapy options to patients with pain or muscle-related conditions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Self-Heating Foot Therapy Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emsense-triple-therapy-foot-massager.md) - [Portable Plug-In Heaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozypod.md) - [Versatile Heating Blankets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/versatile-heating-blanket.md) - [Diminutive Desktop Hand Warmers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desktop-hand-warmers.md) - [Ultra-Cozy Sheep Slippers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sheep-slippers.md) - [Warming Graphene-Enhanced Desk Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heated-desk-pad.md) - [Infrared Heated Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushi.md) - [Cozy Homebody Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casamera-one-blanket.md) - [Ultra-Cozy Slip-On Booties](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-research.md)
