Photographer Romain Laurent took that idea rather literally in their 'Tilt' series of urban photography. The images portray the subjects on various New York streets from a [slanted perspective](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ripples-collection). The clever part comes in that the people appear to be standing upright, yet slanted in the shots. The incredible effect was actually achieved with a [photo assistant](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leica-lux-app) holding the subjects in the perfect slant to appear perpendicular to the angle of the shot. The assistant was then convincingly removed from the frame in post production through photoshop.
