# Urban Bird Abodes Urban Nests Brings Life to Cold Construction Equipment By Michael Hines | Published 2010-08-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urban-nests References: [neatorama](http://www.neatorama.com/2010/08/24/urban-nests-by-luzinterruptus/) & [luzinterruptus](http://www.luzinterruptus.com/) ‘[Urban Nests](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/membran-collective)’ is a public art installation from Spain-based art group Luzinterruptus. ‘Urban Nests’ turned scaffolding safety balls into [birds' nests](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nest-lamp). I am intrigued. The birds in ‘Urban Nests’ are all fake, but that still doesn’t take away from the simple beauty of the installation. The simplicity is really what gets me here. By adding fake birds to these safety balls, Luzinterruptus turned a boring scaffold into a beautiful piece of urban art.
