Penda uses Indian rectangular pools and decorative mazes as inspiration for the project, combining the two for a pyramid-like garden. With this shape, people can walk up and down each levels admiring the flowers and different plants that will be there and find a space of their own to relax in. The urban garden design will function as a place for people to sit with friends and neighbors, walk their dogs and enjoy the outdoors. The garden maze will have three different routes in order to offer different spaces for certain activities. These will include a wide path, a narrow path, and a longer path that winds around the area. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Community Gardens:** The trend of creating urban communal gardens offers opportunities for businesses to provide innovative products and services that cater to the growing demand for green spaces in cities. - **Functional Design:** The use of decorative mazes and different paths in urban garden designs presents opportunities for businesses to create aesthetically pleasing and multifunctional outdoor spaces that enhance the user experience. - **Social Interaction:** The incorporation of seating areas and designated spaces for different activities in urban garden designs reflects the trend of promoting social interaction and community engagement, opening up possibilities for businesses to develop products and services that foster connections among people. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Landscaping:** The landscaping industry can take advantage of the trend of urban communal gardens by offering innovative garden designs and maintenance services. - **Outdoor Furniture:** The trend of urban garden designs with seating areas creates opportunities for the outdoor furniture industry to develop new products that are both stylish and functional for outdoor spaces. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** The incorporation of communal gardens in urban areas presents opportunities for the tourism and hospitality industry to attract visitors by offering unique and relaxing experiences in green urban spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Urban Roofscape Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/central-yards.md) - [Architecture-Inspired Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vegetment-vegetable-cultivator.md) - [Water-Less Minimal Design Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/botnica.md) - [Urban Ecological Design Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urban-ecological-design.md) - [Plant-Covered Concrete Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-kd45.md) - [Nature-Inspired Artful Garden Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/henderson-art-garden.md) - [Planted Balcony Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-greens.md) - [Mini Mess-Free Garden Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponics-garden.md) - [Mirrored Panel Tropical Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-garden.md)
