With the well-being of cats as the company's primary concern, it has set out to create furniture that will bring cats enjoyment and minimize the scratching and eating of your furniture, therefore combining the needs of your cat with your own personal needs as a homeowner. Five different products are available from Urban Cat Design -- the catcase, the catinet, the catscratch, the catledge and the catcube. The catcase is both a bookcase and a [cat tree](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-tree-house-2) in one, while the catinet is both a cabinet and a [littler box storage unit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/catbula) so you don't have to see and smell your cat's disposal units. The catscratch is designed to emulate the corners of your sofa that your cat is known to scratch, and finally, the catledge is a "modern multi-functional cat shelf available in three shapes (rectangle, round and triangle). Besides being a great place to scratch, it is a comfortable place to sleep and play". This line of cat furniture from Urban Cat Design is perfect for new homeowners who want to ensure the well-being of their cat while still preserving the integrity (and smell) of their home! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 68% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Cat-friendly Furniture:** Creating furniture that caters to the well-being of cats while also being aesthetically pleasing to homeowners presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation. - **Hybrid Furniture:** Combining the functionality of traditional furniture with cat-specific features offers a new category for hybrid furniture and innovation within the furniture industry. - **Customized Pet Products:** Customization of pet products to meet the needs of individual pets and their owners is an area of opportunity for innovation in the pet product industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** Furniture designers can innovate by incorporating cat-friendly features and functions into their designs. - **Pet Products:** Manufacturers of pet products can expand their offerings to include customized furniture for cats and other pets, tailoring to specific pet needs. - **Interior Design:** Interior design professionals can offer specialized design services that incorporate cat-friendly furniture into clients' homes, catering to the needs of both the client and their pets. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cat-Friendly Seat Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jingcyuan-tang.md) - [Cityscape-Like Cat Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mocats.md) - [Stylish Stimulating Cat Towers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/catit.md) - [Contemporary Cat Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-collection.md) - [Pet-Catered Sleek Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/papuk.md) - [L-Shaped Pet Scratching Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/catvas.md) - [Functional Furniture Cat Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/donarturo-cuba-cat-house.md) - [Hybrid Feline-Friendly Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-cat-tower.md) - [Overlapping Wooden Cat Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/two-circles-cat-scratcher.md)
