This cozy bed is actually made out of an old suitcase; the vintage look is great for homeowners that want their [kitty beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/therapeutic-cat-bed) to blend in with the home decor. [Pet accessories and furnishings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giobagnara) can often be very pricey, and for those on a tight budget, this idea can be translated into a simple way to pamper your pet. The materials needed to put this together include an old suitcase, or one can be purchased at a second-hand store, a pillow and some upcycled wood to elevate and secure the suitcase bottom. This would make for a great gift idea, whether made by hand or purchased from the Atomic Kitten Etsy shop. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 89% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Upcycled Pet Accessories:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a line of upcycled pet accessories, offering eco-friendly and budget-friendly options for pet owners. - **Vintage-inspired Pet Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design and produce a line of vintage-inspired pet furniture that blends seamlessly with home decor. - **Handmade Pet Gifts:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Establish an online marketplace for handmade pet gifts, providing unique and personalized options for pet owners. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Pet Accessories:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative and affordable pet accessories to meet the growing demand in the pet industry. - **Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate pet-friendly features into furniture design, catering to the needs of pet owners while maintaining a stylish aesthetic. - **E-commerce:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create an e-commerce platform dedicated to pet products, offering a wide range of options for pet owners to choose from. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sustainable Portable Cat Shelters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batsy-cat-shelter.md) - [Cat Cafe Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-cafe-beds.md) - [Origami-Like Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/felt-cat-bed.md) - [Affordable Minimalist Cat Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petsy-cat-house.md) - [Functional Furniture Cat Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/donarturo-cuba-cat-house.md) - [Posh Pooch Travel Trunks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archis-travel-trunk.md) - [Three-in-One Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pet-bed-design.md) - [Contemporary Cat Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Cat-Furniture-1.md) - [Modern House Pet Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/choo-choo-console.md)
