# Luggage Kitty Pads Upcycled Suitcase Pet Beds Offer a Retro Resting Spot for Animals By Matt Ho | Published 2011-09-13 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upcycled-vintage-pet-beds References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/42992/) & [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/listing/80052798/upcycled-suitcase-pet-bed-in-blue) It turns out that even animals can enjoy retro items in the form of the Upcycled Vintage Pet Beds, which would make a pretty cool resting spot for animals. The Upcycled Vintage Pet Beds is designed by [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/create-a-wedding-registry) user AtomicAttic, which re-imagines the form of a resting spot for animals. AtomicAttic has taken an old [retro suitcase](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-accessories-collection) and managed to transform it into a [comfortable place to lay in](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/therapeutic-cat-bed). The interior is lined with fluffy cushion and for stability, four wooden legs are added to the bottom. Ideally, this would be best suited for cats due to its size; however, there's no reason that a puppy or a pint-sized canine can't enjoy this vintage bed! The Upcycled Vintage Pet Beds is available in two different styles and colors. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Upcycled Products:** Creating new products from old or discarded materials presents opportunities for sustainable and unique creations, such as upcycled vintage pet beds. - **Retro-inspired Design:** Nostalgic design elements that evoke a sense of nostalgia and vintage charm can be incorporated into various products, including pet beds. - **Pet Comfort and Style:** Pet owners are increasingly seeking out stylish and comfortable options for their furry friends, like the upcycled vintage pet beds. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Etsy Sellers:** Etsy sellers can explore the market for upcycled products, like the upcycled vintage pet beds, to cater to eco-conscious consumers who appreciate unique, handmade items. - **Pet Accessories:** Pet accessory brands can tap into the trend of retro-inspired design by offering unique and stylish pet beds that incorporate nostalgic elements. - **Sustainable Home Furnishings:** The market for sustainable home furnishings can include upcycled pet beds as part of their offerings, providing eco-conscious consumers with functional and environmentally friendly options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cat Cafe Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-cafe-beds.md) - [Oil Drum Dog Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indusigns-dog-bed.md) - [Comfy Sofa-Inspired Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sofa-pet-bed.md) - [Three-in-One Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pet-bed-design.md) - [Posh Pooch Travel Trunks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archis-travel-trunk.md) - [Stylish Modular Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-pet-beds.md) - [Functional Furniture Cat Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/donarturo-cuba-cat-house.md) - [Origami-Like Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/felt-cat-bed.md) - [Multi-Use Dog Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-human-dog-bed.md)
