'Upcycled' refers to waste being repurposed into something more useful. For 'The Throne,' the name given to this toilet, a large amount of [wasted plastic medical trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atlanta-airport-chairs) were used to achieve something stylish and functional. The Throne features a futuristic pod-like design in plain white. This toilet, and corresponding pod, was created through a 3D printing process which allows for quick and accurate reproduction of the materials were there. On top of being a stylish portable toilet, this toilet separates liquid waste and physical waste, allowing these to be disposed of properly or collected and reused as fertilizer.
