Standing close to an erupting volcano isn't the greatest idea, but that wasn't going to stop YouTube user Shaun O’Callaghan from getting up close with a volcano. However, rather than going it on his own, O’Callaghan sent a [DJI Phantom quadcopter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-1) to capture an amazing aerial view of Mount Yasur of Vanuatu’s Tanna Island erupting.

Since humans don't have the ability to fly or withstand that kind of heat, using a drone is an effective way to see sights that you would otherwise miss out on. Since it was uploaded earlier this year, O’Callaghan's adventurous volcano-seeking [drone video](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antigravity-drones) has received millions of hits on YouTube. Comically, he notes "No phantoms where harmed while filming!"
