Although the projector looks a little odd, it can project a 100" image, effectively creating a movie theater in tight spaces. **Implications** - The way the Sanyo LP-XL50 works is by using a surface mirror at a high angle to help project the image effectively onto any wall. Although the thought of having your own movie theater screen sounds pretty awesome, there is a hefty price tag of $5000 attached. What is great about the item is that it can be used practically anywhere -- even if you have a tiny apartment. If you only like to watch movies, there is [no need for a TV](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/epson-ef-21)! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Up-close Projectors:** The Sanyo LP-XL50 introduces the innovation of projecting a 100" image by placing the projector against a wall, creating a movie theater experience in tight spaces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Entertainment:** The home entertainment industry can benefit from the disruptive innovation of up-close projectors, offering consumers a unique and space-saving movie viewing experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Super-Ultra-Short-Throw Protectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/epson-epiqvision-ultra-ehls800.md) - [4K Ultra-Short Throw Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-screeneo-u5.md) - [Dynamic Smart Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-projectors.md) - [Affordable Ultra-Short Throw Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/screeneo-ul5-smart.md) - [Hassle-Free Short Throw Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-screeneo-u4.md) - [Fabric-Covered Short-Throw Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/layer-xgimi-mira.md) - [Hyper-Short-Throw Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shortthrow-4k-projector.md) - [Ultra Short-Throw Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultra-shortthrow-4k-projector.md) - [Compactly Versatile Laser Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/versatile-laser-projector.md)
