# Pink Wireframe Chairs The UOVO Sdraiato is Modeled Looks Like It's Modelled After a Cadbury Egg By Meghan Young | Published 2015-07-11 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uovo-sdraiato References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/pink-statement-chair-never-looked-more-unusual.html) & [shop.theinteriordesign.it](http://shop.theinteriordesign.it/shop/poltroncina-uovo-sdraiato/?lang=en) Eye-catching in its unusual design, UOVO Sdraiato is a chair that was modelled after an egg -- but more like a Cadbury egg in particular. After all, it is pink. With its [wireframe structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wire-chair-concept), wide silhouette and sunken seat, it's hard not to fall in love with the UOVO Sdraiato seat right off the bat. It's a playful creation that will bring a dynamic touch to any living space. Made out of [metal rods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dream-view-chair), the UOVO Sdraiato chair offers a surprisingly comfortable perch. Since each piece is welded by hand, that level of attention would naturally lead to a quality piece of furniture. Although the [fuchsia hue](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popo-chair) is the standard, those who want something different can request a custom color. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Wireframe Furniture:** The popularity of wireframe furniture creates disruptive opportunities for designers to create functional furniture with minimal materials. - **Egg-inspired Designs:** Egg-inspired designs like the UOVO Sdraiato chair present opportunities for playful, unique furniture pieces that add character to any space. - **Customizable Home Furnishings:** The idea of a customizable product like the UOVO Sdraiato chair creates disruptive opportunities for mass-produced furniture that can still be personalized to the consumer's liking. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The challenge for furniture manufacturers is to produce furniture that is both stylish and functional, using innovative techniques like wireframe structures or playful designs inspired by food items. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers are always seeking unique, eye-catching furniture pieces to differentiate living spaces, and designs like the UOVO Sdraiato chair offer playful, customizable alternatives to traditional furniture offerings. - **Home Decor Retail:** Home decor retailers can differentiate themselves by offering customizable, unique furniture like the UOVO Sdraiato chair, that allow consumers to make their living spaces truly their own. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Quirky Postmodern Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-ebba-armchair.md) - [Cozy Flower-Like Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beba-armchair.md) - [Tubular Organic-Formed Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loopy-chair.md) - [Curvaceous Padded Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/talk-chair.md) - [Artfully Balanced Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/halfway-serious.md) - [Curvaceous Ribbon-Like Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qeeboo-ribbon-armchair.md) - [Wooden Extended Backrest Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bice-chair.md) - [Pastel-Tonal Abstract Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flowie.md) - [Structurally Complex Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-arch-chair.md)
