You could opt for a courthouse, [hotel, park, beach](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/karisma-hotels-resorts), hockey arena, etc. In Japan, an architect, Klein Dytham, has designed the [Leaf Chapel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leaf-house-1) for ceremonies. It overlooks a pool for a serene setting, has special lighting effects to add drama, and it just looks cool. No doubt acoustics are excellent too. Made of two movable parts, the leaf can be closed, then opened when the couple is married to show them the new world they face. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 43% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Non-traditional Wedding Venues:** Design innovative wedding venues that offer a unique, memorable experience for couples. - **Flexible Architecture:** Develop movable modular structures for wedding venues that can be easily assembled and disassembled for various events. - **Customized Lighting:** Incorporate new technologies to create immersive lighting experiences for unique wedding venues. ### Where This Applies - **Wedding and Event Planning:** Help couples plan unique, non-traditional weddings and events in innovative venues. - **Architecture:** Partner with event planners to design and construct bespoke, movable wedding chapels and venues. - **Lighting Design:** Develop and implement customized lighting solutions for unique event venues, such as the Leaf Chapel. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Unique Wedding Venues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unique-wedding-venues.md) - [Spiralled Roof Horticultural Centers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leaf-1.md) - [Unique Wedding Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-on-the-ledge.md) - [Exclusive Red-Carpet Chapel Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapel-of-the-flowers.md) - [Mobile Weenie Wedding Chapels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-wedding-chapel.md) - [Leaf-Inspired Countryside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leaf-house-1.md) - [Organic Striking Tower Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leaves.md) - [Iconically Located Wedding Pop-Ups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/times-square-this-valentines.md) - [Pop-Up Outdoor Weddings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chaco-wedding.md)
