The artist decided to purchase the doll, named Eva in order to battle his loneliness. The doll came at a hefty price and the visual artist believes that his relationship with it is comparable to those between human couples. The unusual photography captures moments both [intimate and public](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/all-within-the-detour) between the artist and Eva -- including the two sitting in the park and by the water, as well as at home in private. This bizarre series offers insight into a world that most people are not exposed to and functions as an interesting case study into something that is usually hidden from view. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 97% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/photography) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Realistic Doll Companions:** The trend of using realistic dolls as companions presents opportunities for the development of advanced technology in creating lifelike human replicas. - **Loneliness Solutions:** The trend of individuals seeking unconventional solutions to battle loneliness opens up new avenues for businesses to provide innovative products and services focused on emotional well-being. - **Alternative Relationships:** The trend of unconventional relationships, such as those between humans and dolls, highlights the potential for societal discussions on the definition of companionship and the need for inclusive perspectives. ### Who This Affects Most - **Doll Manufacturing:** The doll manufacturing industry can explore disruptive innovations in creating realistic dolls that go beyond physical appearance and incorporate advanced features like AI companionship. - **Emotional Wellness:** The emotional wellness industry can tap into the opportunity to develop unique products or services that address the needs of individuals seeking unconventional solutions for combating loneliness. - **Society and Relationships:** The society and relationships sector can benefit from disruptive innovations by fostering inclusive dialogues on alternative relationships and exploring potential impact on social norms and expectations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Surreal Love-Themed Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joakim-ojanen.md) - [Collectable Sculptural Doll Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inedible-doll.md) - [AI-Generated Poetic Photo Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emilio-alarcn.md) - [Glamorous Artful Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweet-jane.md) - [Raunchy Anime-Inspired Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manuela-soto-sosa.md) - [Love-Inspired Miniature Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-in-a-bottle.md) - [Pop Art Legend-Honoring Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keiichi-tanaami-1.md) - [Romantic AI Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/true-love-portrait.md) - [Sea-Inspired Mini Sculpture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-sculptures.md)
