# Doll House Tables Desk Mini Fortress By lourdes sanchez bayas | Published 2008-05-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unusual-desk-mounted-house-soojin-hyuns-house-on-the-table References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/index.php/2008/05/14/fort-focus/) Soojin Hyun designed this strange concept called the **[House on the Table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mindful-study-space)**. What looks to me like a tree house on [a desk](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/single-desk) is a structure conceived as a sort of personal fortress intended to safeguard a person's privacy. The House on the Table comes complete with a [bookshelf](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table), a vaulted ceiling, four walls, look-out portals and interior lighting. From the images, the structure looks bigger than a cubicle from the inside, and it actually seems quite spacious. I think it takes up way too much space though and it is just a crazy idea. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Personal Fortress:** Opportunity for creating innovative personal privacy solutions, such as portable privacy pods. - **Compact Workspaces:** Opportunity for designing small, efficient workstations for individuals working in limited spaces. - **Immersive Work Environments:** Opportunity for integrating immersive technologies into office settings, creating stimulating and unique workspaces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to create compact, customizable furniture for small workspaces. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity to provide tailored design solutions for individuals seeking privacy and optimized working environments. - **Technology:** Opportunity to develop immersive technologies for transforming traditional workspaces into engaging environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Storage-Packed Workstation Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelf-x-shelf-x-self-table.md) - [Cat-Friendly Minimal Desk Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-cubby-desk.md) - [Personal Cubicle Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ma-camilla-isabel-reyes.md) - [Demure Dog House Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hut-desk.md) - [Minimalist Modular Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/console-desk.md) - [Elegant Working Desk Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mindset-builtin-computer-desk.md) - [Modular Play-Friendly Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-concept.md) - [Relaxed Anti-Distraction Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fortune-chair.md) - [Korean Game-Inspired Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playful-desk-accessories.md)
