The appliance has a rotating design that can be used in both vertical and horizontal positions, which makes it ideal for users standing in front of it, in a wheelchair and shorter or taller people. The system utilizes a UV light within that will sterilize the air inside and around it with use to prevent germs from being blasted around the room. The conceptual 'Universal Dryer' also features [HEPA filters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aeroview-air-purifier) within that will trap any pathogens or germs that could be captured through the air inlet to prevent them from being blown onto the hands of the user. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Rotating Dryer Design:** Designing rotating appliances for public use could enable a more intuitive approach to hygiene that meets the needs of a wider range of people. - **UV-C Sterilization:** Incorporating UV-C lights in hand dryers can prevent the spread of germs and create safer public spaces. - **HEPA Filter Integration:** Using HEPA filters in hand dryers can eliminate the risk of inhaling airborne germs in public washrooms. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Hand Dryer Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can create more accessible and hygienic hand dryers by incorporating rotating, UV-C sterilization, and HEPA filters into their designs. - **Public Restroom Design:** Architects and designers can consider the benefits of incorporating rotating hand dryers with UV-C sterilization and HEPA filters to create safer and more accessible public washrooms. - **Hygiene Technology:** Advancements in hygiene technology, such as integrating rotating hand dryers, UV-C sterilization, and HEPA filters can lead to more efficient and effective hygiene solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mounted Handsfree Hair Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/assist-hair-dryer.md) - [Speedy Bathhouse Body Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/at-the-same-time-body-dryer.md) - [Hygienic At-Home Hand Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-towel-hand-dryer.md) - [Assistive One-Handed Hairdryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-hairdryer.md) - [Conceptual Hands-Free Hair Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pillar-handsfree.md) - [Naturally Inspired Body Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sumsei-air-shower.md) - [Health-Tracking Body Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ozwind-body-dryer.md) - [Modular Handheld Home Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circulab.md) - [Dedicated Cleaning Tool Sanitizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sterilizer-2022.md)
