Sharing files would become more convenient and hooking up to a notebook computer would be all the easier. Shiyu Xia's compact electronic device stores 1GB of information within a case that's roughly the same length and width of the actual drive component, but about twice as thick. It's remarkably small and perfectly portable. In fact, the reason it isn't any tinier is because each thumbdrive integrates a USB port within it. The Uniting U Disk system is a modular one that allows you to link several individual flash drives up together to increase data storage capacity. This means that you only require one laptop plug for the lot and with less information your pockets can travel an eensy bit lighter. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modular Flash Drives:** Opportunity for companies to develop modular flash drives that can be linked together to increase storage capacity. - **Convenient File Sharing:** Potential for businesses to create devices or software that make file sharing more convenient and efficient. - **Compact Storage Solutions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to create compact storage solutions that are portable and easily connectable to devices. ### Where This Applies - **Technology Hardware:** Companies in the technology hardware industry can explore modular flash drives as a potential product offering. - **Data Storage:** Opportunity for businesses in the data storage industry to enhance file sharing capabilities and develop compact storage solutions. - **Computer Accessories:** Potential for companies in the computer accessories industry to create innovative devices that improve convenience and efficiency in file sharing. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Four-Way Connective Flash Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/centralspot-innovation.md) - [External Storage Computer Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beelink-expand-f.md) - [Icon-Shaped USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folderdrive.md) - [Laptop-Attached Hub Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/case-x.md) - [Laptop-Fitted USB Stick Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saint-antoine.md) - [Object-Resembling USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-1.md) - [Record-Setting Compact Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/extreme-fit-usb-c.md) - [Portable NAS Storage Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unifydrive-ut2.md) - [Multifunctional External Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onemodern-m6.md)
