This table actually doubles up as a stylish rug so that you kill two birds with one stone while designing your living room set up. This [carpet coffee table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tumble-tables) is a modern furniture piece that cleverly offers home owners two functional pieces in one. The carpet comes with a dark beige shag fabric that is stylish, minimal and soft. Isola makes use of the rectangular shape of the carpet by turning one of the corners into a table. Isola cleverly flips the carpet corner over but hovers the piece to create a [contemporary coffee table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-coffee-tables). The corner is made from metal so it holds its curved shape making it ideal for stacking with books and trinkets. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Function-doubling Furniture:** Designing furniture pieces that serve more than one function to accommodate smaller living spaces - **Multi-purpose Decor:** Offering decor items that can be used for more than one purpose, such as a rug doubling as a coffee table - **Innovative Furniture Design:** Exploring new and unique ways to combine form and function in furniture design ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Creating unique and innovative furniture designs to meet the changing needs of customers - **Home Decor:** Offering decorative items that serve more than one purpose to appeal to customers who live in smaller spaces - **Interior Design:** Incorporating multi-functional pieces into interior designs to maximize functionality in smaller living spaces ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Curvaceous Animalistic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookpet-coffee-table.md) - [Japandi-Style Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloth-coffee-table.md) - [Reversable Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reverse.md) - [Artful Coffee Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertushka.md) - [Triple-Tabletop Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peel-coffee-table.md) - [Bent Multi-Functional Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-shell-table.md) - [Paper-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocoon-coffee-table.md) - [Minimalist Book Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-coffee-table.md) - [Möbius Strip-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mbelius-coffee-table.md)
