# Geometrically Structured Slumped Seating This Unique Bean Bag Chair From FreiFrau is Quite Formal By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2013-02-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unique-bean-bag-chair References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/52626/) & [freifrau.eu](http://www.freifrau.eu) A unique bean bag chair might seem like a more college-appropriate seating solution, but this geometrically styled design from FreiFrau is relatively formal in the way in which it is structured. Featuring a bottom that is exactly like any other bean bag chair, but a top that is geometrically structured for formal seating, the creation is an absolutely perfect futuristically inclined solution that can easily be put in a rec room, basement or bedroom for a laid-back yet luxe touch. Fear not; bean bag chairs don't have to be as wretchedly slumped and unkempt as they might have appeared back in the day. The FreiFrau unique bean bag chair proves that with a little ingenuity, any item can be brought full-force into the new millennium. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Geometrically Styled Seating:** A trend of designing seating solutions with formal, geometric structures to provide a modern and elegant aesthetic. - **Futuristic Rec Room Furniture:** A trend of incorporating futuristically inclined seating options, like the unique bean bag chair, into recreational rooms and lounges for a laid-back yet luxurious ambiance. - **Revitalizing Traditional Designs:** A trend of giving traditional furniture designs, such as the bean bag chair, a contemporary update to appeal to a wider range of consumers. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The furniture manufacturing industry can explore the production of bean bag chairs with geometrically structured tops to meet the demand for formal yet comfortable seating options. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can utilize the unique bean bag chair with its sleek geometric design to add a modern and luxurious touch to rec rooms, basements, and bedrooms. - **Home Decor Retail:** Home decor retailers can capitalize on the trend of revitalizing traditional designs by offering the FreiFrau bean bag chair with its formal, geometrically structured top as a unique and stylish seating option. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Structural Beanbag Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brace-lounge.md) - [Multi-Position Beanbag Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revolve-chair.md) - [Bohemian Bean Bag Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sage-x-clare-camarillo-bean-bag.md) - [Transparent Bean Bag Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transparent-bean-bag.md) - [Ultra-Comfy Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushy-lounge-chair.md) - [Cozy Wearable Bean Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wearable-bean-bag.md) - [Cozy Contemporary Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-perron-bun.md) - [Relaxed Anti-Distraction Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fortune-chair.md) - [Leather Waste Beanbag Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fourtenths.md)
