It's like a rite of passage from awesome kid-dom into almost-an-actual-person-so-I-have-to-be-super-boring-now land. Creative Cakes by Julie has come up with a rather [awesome design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artful-cake) for a unicorn cake that can numb all that existential pain regarding the lack of majestic one-horned semi-horses in the universe. This unicorn cake lounges serenely on its cake-hooves, looking extremely blasé for something so blatantly awesome. I guess if you can't have a unicorn, you can still have a uni-cake -- and it'll be delicious. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Mythical Creature Cakes:** Opportunity for bakeries to innovate and create visually stunning cakes inspired by mythical creatures. - **Unicorn Cakes:** Opportunity for bakeries to capitalize on the popularity of unicorns and create unique and whimsical cake designs. - **Creative Cake Designs:** Opportunity for cake designers to push creative boundaries and create cakes that are visually impressive and enticing. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Bakery Industry:** Opportunity for bakeries to attract customers by offering unique and visually appealing cakes. - **Event Planning Industry:** Opportunity for event planners to incorporate unique cake designs, such as unicorn cakes, into special occasions to create a memorable experience. - **Cake Decorating Industry:** Opportunity for cake decorators to explore innovative techniques and designs to create visually stunning cakes inspired by mythical creatures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Unicorn-Inspired Dessert Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unicorn-crispy-bar.md) - [Mythical Creature Cookie Nachos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unicorn-cookie-nachos.md) - [Unicorn-Shaped Gummy Candies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haribo-unicornilicious.md) - [Balloon Dog Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-dog-cake.md) - [Mythically Inspired Ice Pops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unicorn-twist-pops.md) - [Whimsical Unicorn-Inspired Refreshments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unicorn-dreams-slush.md) - [Unicorn Shaped Sugar Cookies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lisa-frank-unicorn-shape-sugar-cookie-dough.md) - [Mythical Creature Easter Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/candyrific-easter.md) - [Cardboard-Resembling Illusion Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-cake.md)
