Underwater Geisha Photography? Sure, why not. At Trend Hunter, we’re always fans of underwater photography, so when Jason Heller sent us his latest photoshoots, I felt like a fat kids jumping at cake.
Unlike most of the underwater photoshoots we’ve seen, Heller captures an undistorted image that only ripples at its surface reflection… Very intriguing!
Implications - Submerged photography is both intriguing and a testament to a photographer's skill, giving a whimsical look to any editorial or photographic series. There is an element of mystery with underwater photography that feeds into a consumer fascination with the otherworldly, as submerged spreads seem to almost be taken in another world. Ad agencies and those within the fashion industry can use this technique to create interest.
