Designed to imitate the appearance of a magnified ballpoint pen cap, this [iconic office accessory](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firki) strikes out the blandness of the typical workstation. The quirky Fred and Friends object references the familiar [BIC writing utensils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bic-lamp) with the conical lids and adjoining tail-like tabs. It has been scaled up, flipped upside down and left hollow, here to encourage the orderly placement of [pencils, markers, scissors and more](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tower-desk1). Available in your standard black and red colors as well, the Uncap Pen Holder celebrates a universal symbol of the office in a playful and pop culture way. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Desk Organizers:** Designing new types of desk organizers with a playful and pop culture twist to add visual delight to the typical workstation. - **Office Accessories:** Creating new, quirky, and innovative office accessories that celebrate universal symbols in a playful way. - **Stationery Design:** Innovating the design of standard stationery items by scaling them up and giving them a unique twist. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Stationery Industry:** Innovating stationery design by creating iconic office accessories that are both functional and visually appealing. - **Office Supply Industry:** Creating new and innovative office supplies that bring an added element of visual delight and quirkiness to the workplace. - **Design Industry:** Incorporating playful and pop culture elements into product design, making work spaces more enjoyable and less mundane. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Off-Kilter Desktop Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-pen-holder.md) - [Desktop Pen Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pareto-pot.md) - [Organized Minimal Pen Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stilo75-pen-holder.md) - [Minimal Compact Pen Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/serenity-pen-stand.md) - [Three-in-One Writing Utensils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tp-pen.md) - [Multipurpose Workstation Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakywood-wooden-cubic-pot.md) - [Stackable Tower Workstation Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cyl-desk-organizer.md) - [Pill-Shaped Pen Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/void-pen-pot.md) - [Striking Writing Tool Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zenith7-desk-pen.md)
