We all know by now that sci-fi has a way of becoming sci-fact. So here it is: The [United Nations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/service-robots) have enlisted Peace Robots to serve as an ad-hoc intervention squad on their behalf. The good news? They're not here to kill us.

Actually, these little helicopters of love are sort of adorable. Still, I wouldn't want to be swarmed, even by Peace Robots. We're optimistic about what these bots can do, but also, to be honest, a little bit scared.

**Implications** - The [UN](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canvas-of-the-future1) robots are yet another example of [machines adopting practical human responsibilities](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mindon-unitree-g1) in unlikely places. The peacebots are subject to the same principles as human intervenors in crisis areas. The self-governed machines will be sent out in swarms.
