# Transformational Tilted Sinks The Gwenole Gasnier 'Un Lavabos' Design Accommodates All Heights By Vivian Lau | Published 2012-08-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/un-lavabos References: [gwenolegasnier.fr](http://www.gwenolegasnier.fr/designindustriel/lavabos/) & [gwenolegasnier.fr](http://www.gwenolegasnier.fr) The 'Un Lavabos' sink by Gwenole Gasnier boasts a design that takes different heights into consideration. The population of people under 4 foot does not just include children -- the wheelchair-ridden are short on height as well. This issue becomes a factor during everyday activities like hand-washing, where sinks are often too high to comfortably use. This design by Gasnier takes such situations into account as the sink has a portion of its front base cut out. This allows it to easily tip forward, offering up a lower edge. The front lip is tall enough to stop water from overflowing, but gives the perfect alternative for those who don't have that extra boost. The Un Lavabos is a must-have for any family with a roster varying in age or height. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 49% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Inclusive Sink Designs:** Designing sinks that are accommodating to people of different heights and abilities. - **Customizable Fixtures:** Creating fixtures that can be adjusted to comfortably suit different individuals. - **Multifunctional Design:** Creating designs that serve multiple needs and offer alternative solutions for everyday activities. ### Who This Affects Most - **Bathroom Fixtures Industry:** Developing new designs within the bathroom fixtures industry that are accommodating to all. - **Disability Accessible Home Products Industry:** Targeting the disability accessible home products industry with sink designs that are inclusive to all. - **Home Renovation Industry:** Offering renovation services with customizable and inclusive fixtures, including sinks, to appeal to a wider range of customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md) - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Collaborative Seashell-Like Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spire-washbasin.md) - [Refined Dishwasher Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grifoa-sliding-faucet.md) - [Ergonomic Kitchen Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fotile-x20-max.md) - [Accessible Shower Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/accessible-showers.md) - [Textural Bathroom Sink Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washbasin-collection.md) - [Sleek Four-Station Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tlx-series-express-lavatory-system.md) - [Accessible Home Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikeas-bsingen-collection.md)
