With the Umbrella Chair, you’ll be able to bring it everywhere you go -- in the form of a suitcase. This conveniently compact seat can fold into a [rolling case](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collapsible-cart) that’s perfect if you want portability. When unfolded, the chair has two cup holders, an extending footrest, insulated compartments to keep a couple of beer cans and of course, the umbrella to shield you from the sun. If that’s not enough, there’s even a pillow for added comfort. Next time you go to the [beach](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintageinspired-beach-chair), bring the Umbrella Chair -- it’ll be worth having when you’re soaking up the sun and the view. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Compact Portable Seating:** The trend of developing compact seating solutions that are easily portable, such as the Umbrella Chair, creates opportunities for disruptive innovation in the travel and outdoor furniture industries. - **Multipurpose Travel Accessories:** The trend of designing travel accessories with multiple functionalities, like the Umbrella Chair with cup holders, footrest, insulated compartments, and a pillow, opens up possibilities for disruptive innovation in the travel and outdoor gear industries. - **Convenient Sun Protection:** The trend of creating convenient sun protection solutions like the Umbrella Chair, which combines a parasol and a comfortable seat, presents opportunities for disruptive innovation in the beach and outdoor leisure industries. ### Where This Applies - **Travel:** The compact and portable nature of the Umbrella Chair allows for disruptive innovation in the travel industry, providing travelers with a convenient and comfortable seating option. - **Outdoor Furniture:** The multipurpose features of the Umbrella Chair offer disruptive innovation opportunities in the outdoor furniture industry, enabling the creation of versatile and portable seating solutions for outdoor spaces. - **Outdoor Leisure:** The functionality of the Umbrella Chair, providing both sun protection and a comfortable seat, creates potential for disruptive innovation in the outdoor leisure industry, offering a more convenient and enjoyable beach experience for consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Beach Backpack Recliners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beach-backpack-recliner.md) - [Inflatable Tote-Style Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bag-sofa.md) - [Flatpack Adventure-Ready Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-outdoor-chair.md) - [Lounge Chair Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bagletti-suitcase.md) - [Dual-Purpose Camping Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chair-a.md) - [Multifunctional Beach Backpacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bumruk.md) - [Sleek Portable Air Recliners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zlounger.md) - [Featherweight Camping Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camping-chair.md) - [Marine-Grade Sun Shades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-shibumi-shade.md)
