According to the dentist-founded brand SuperMouth, traditional toothbrushes are ineffective, unsafe, and unhygienic. Both manual and [electric toothbrushes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laifen-wave-special) can still fail to reach difficult-to-clean areas of the mouth, and to make matters worse, many toothbrushes are overly abrasive. The Ultim8 SmartBrush System created by Dr. Kami Hoss—founder of SuperMouth—delivers a different experience with ortho-specific cleaning power that boasts enhanced performance around braces, wires and brackets; [real-time pressure sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oralb-io10-ultimate); and a patent-pending SmartHub with a built-in [UV sanitizer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/red-light-toothbrush) to eliminate 99.9% of germs. Since aesthetic appeal can play a part in encouraging the display and use of toothbrushes, the system is available in Sapphire Blue, Pearly White, and Rose Gold colorways. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 31% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **UV Sanitization in Everyday Devices:** Devices incorporating UV sanitization are setting new standards for hygiene and safety by eliminating 99.9% of germs. - **Smart Oral Care:** Integrating real-time pressure sensors and ortho-specific cleaning features addresses common issues with both manual and electric toothbrushes. - **Customizable Aesthetic Appeal:** Offering products in various aesthetically pleasing colorways can enhance user engagement and product display. ### Where This Applies - **Consumer Electronics:** Advancements like the UV-sanitizing SmartHub can be extended to various consumer electronics to enhance hygiene. - **Dental Care:** Innovative products such as the Ultim8 SmartBrush System represent significant improvements in oral hygiene and patient care. - **Healthcare Accessories:** Developing aesthetically appealing and multifunctional healthcare accessories can increase consumer adoption and compliance. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sanitizing Toothbrush Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultim8-travel-smartcase.md) - [Reliable Self-Sanitizing Toothbrushes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hahatec-self-sanitizing-toothbrush.md) - [UV-Sanitizing Electric Toothbrushes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/umma-diamond-sonic-toothbrush.md) - [Mini Portable Toothbrush Sanitizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bril-uvc-toothbrush-sanitizer.md) - [Performance-Driven Toothbrush Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toothbrush-design1.md) - [Portable Toothbrush sanitizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clea-toothbrush-sanitizer.md) - [Lasting AI-Powered E-Toothbrushes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aipowered-etoothbrush.md) - [4-in-1 Oral Care Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oral-care-system.md) - [Automatic 360 Toothbrushes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sonic-brush-v5.md)
