This dwelling takes up a footprint of only 18 square meters but stretches over two levels and makes highly intelligent use of vertical and horizontal space alike. Key to this micro apartment are the high ceilings, which measure over 5 meters in height. This allows for the creation of an [elevated loft bedroom](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omarama-attic), which doubles usable interior space. Another highlight of this apartment is the use of large windows that go all the way up from the ground-floor living room, helping to provide great views as well as the feeling of living in a regular-sized house. As land becomes increasingly hard to come by, it's important that architects come up with creative ways to make use of [limited space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minuet), and One Studio's micro apartment does just that. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **High-ceiling Micro Apartments:** Opportunity for architects and developers to design small spaces that maximize vertical and horizontal space. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture:** Architects can explore innovative designs for small living spaces with high ceilings and efficient use of vertical and horizontal space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cleverly Designed Micro Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabanon.md) - [Smartly Designed Compact Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-apartments2.md) - [Thoughtful Micro Studio Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-studio-apartment.md) - [Reimagined Minimal Parisian Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-cocoon.md) - [Compact Living Bright Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apartment-ann.md) - [Reinvented Compact Living](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/affordable-housing-prototype.md) - [Renovated Compact Loft Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vessel-project.md) - [Multifunctional Small Studio Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-mescla.md) - [Remodelled Denim-Detailed Modern Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microloft.md)
