Until now cigarette packs in the UK have carried text warning that have been much larger than those in the US Apparently that hasn't lead to a steep enough decline in smoking which has recently been banned in public places in the UK. So, the UK will become the first [EU](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iqrcode) member to print the photo warnings developed by the [European Commission](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roadmap-to-phase-out).

The catch is that the photo warnings are very shocking! This strategy has already been implemented for more than a year in Canada. Will the rest of the EU follow suit?
