The Valeria Salvo invention packs up extremely tight and charges quickly on the go. It operates on the principles of florescent pigments embedded within the [expandable netting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tsubomi) of the unconventional flashlight, activated by a system of LEDs. When latched shut, the double disk contraption juices up the lamp and its indicator delivers a bright white glow when it's fully charged. The user then knows when he can separate the top from the bottom, gradually pulling the UFO Light into a [tall tubular fixture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outask-td2). This expanding surface area casts a rays across campsites and within tents. A loop on top even enables it to be tied up to a tree or the inside of the fly. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Compact Lighting Solutions:** The UFO Light showcases the trend of compact and efficient lighting options for outdoor activities. - **Portable Charging Technology:** The fast-charging technology used in the UFO Light highlights the trend of portable charging solutions for on-the-go travelers. - **Flexible and Expandable Design:** The accordion-like design of the UFO Light represents the trend of flexible and expandable lighting products. ### Where This Applies - **Outdoor Recreation:** The outdoor recreation industry can explore opportunities to develop innovative lighting solutions for campers and hikers. - **Portable Electronics:** The portable electronics industry can leverage the trend of portable charging technology to create compact and efficient lighting products. - **Camping Gear:** The camping gear industry can capitalize on the trend of flexible and expandable design to create versatile and space-saving lighting options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Telescoping Campsite Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outask-telescopic-lantern.md) - [Collapsible Emergency-Ready Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tomori-lantern-kit.md) - [Multipurpose Camping Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camping-lights.md) - [Extending Illuminator Camping Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fezoom-outdoor-camping-lantern.md) - [Origami-Inspired Cubic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/megapuff-lamp.md) - [Miniature Camping Flashlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoto-flashlight-duo.md) - [Ultra-Flexible Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anywhereuse-lamp.md) - [Flexible Orientation Camper Flashlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flexit-pocket-light.md) - [3-in-1 Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biancinoti.md)
