The unit works by turning any [WiFi hotspot or wired connection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/5g-wifi-hub) into a secure line that will connect you directly to your home network. This allows you to then access hardware and documents from anywhere without having to carry them with you which could be something of a security concern if they fall into the wrong hands. The Ubiquiti AmpliFi Teleport acknowledges the growing need from consumers for more secure methods of connecting to their data without having to rely on carrying [physical hard drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desktop-nas) with them. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 68% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Encrypted Travel Access:** Innovative solutions that allow secure access to personal home networks when traveling. - **Wifi Security:** Providing secure access to personal networks via public WiFi hotspots. - **Remote Access:** Innovative technology that allows users to remotely access hardware and documents through secure connections. ### Who This Affects Most - **Technology:** Technology companies offering encryption solutions for remote access. - **Travel:** Travel industry companies incorporating secure encrypted travel router technology to appeal to safety-minded consumers. - **Cybersecurity:** Opportunities for cybersecurity companies to provide encrypted solutions that allow secure access to personal networks. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Fast Travel Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/be3600-travel-router.md) - [Portable Wi-Fi Power Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wifi-7-travel-router.md) - [Dual-SIM 5G Network Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ubiquiti-unifi-5g-router.md) - [Travel-Ready WiFi 6 Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tplink-tlwr1502x.md) - [Professional Traveler Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trimode-travel-router.md) - [VPN-Integrated Networking Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aircove-wifi-6-vpn-router.md) - [Ultra-Secure Gateway Connectivity Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deeper-connect-pico.md) - [Compact Portable Wi-Fi Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tl-wr3002x.md) - [Protective WiFi 7 Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tplink-archer-be805.md)
