# Giant Ball Installations 'Two Younger Women Come In And Pull Out A Table' is Colorfully Quirky By Meghan Young | Published 2013-02-22 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/two-younger-women-come-in References: [itsnicethat](http://www.itsnicethat.com/articles/katharina-grosse-new-show) & [katharinagrosse](http://www.katharinagrosse.com/) The 'Two Younger Women Come In And Pull Out A Table' exhibit may be a mouthful to say, but it is worth noting since it showcases the latest work of Berlin artist Katharina Grosse. Known for her vibrant, abstract installation such as those displayed in the '[They Had Taken Things Along to Eat Together](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/they-had-taken-things-along-to-eat-together)' show, Grosse explores bright oversized balls this time around. As though she had stumbled upon the toy chest of a giant's child, 'Two Younger Women Come In And Pull Out A Table' appear to be made up predominantly of [blown-up bouncing balls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-shape-of-play). Showing at the De Pont Museum of Contemporary Art, the orbs are made out of [multi-coloured PVC materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorscape-installation). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 68% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Giant Ball Installations:** Creating vibrant and abstract installations using oversized balls presents an opportunity for immersive experiences in art and design. - **Colorful Abstract Exhibits:** Exploring vibrant and abstract installations with unconventional materials provides opportunities for unique and visually captivating art displays. - **Oversized Playful Art:** Using blown-up bouncing balls as part of larger installations offers an opportunity for interactive and whimsical art experiences. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** The art and design industry can embrace the use of oversized balls to create immersive and visually striking installations. - **Museum and Gallery:** Museums and galleries can incorporate colorful and abstract exhibits featuring oversized balls to attract visitors and provide unique experiences. - **Event and Experience Planning:** Event and experience planners can utilize oversized playful art installations with blown-up bouncing balls to create interactive and memorable experiences for attendees. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Colorfully Inflatable Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blowup-art-the-hague.md) - [Playful Balloon Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keff-joons.md) - [Immersive Balloon Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-story-popup.md) - [Indoor Playground Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indoor-playground-art-exhibition.md) - [Glass Beaded Intricate Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition.md) - [Whimsically Vibrant Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorama.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Vibrantly Pink Skelter Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stay-playful.md) - [Reflective Ping-Pong Parlour Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/match-point-installation.md)
