# Functional Chair Chests The Twins Coffee Table Hides Two Lounge Chairs Inside of It By Michael Hines | Published 2014-02-05 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twins-coffee-table References: [tuvie](http://www.tuvie.com/twins-coffee-tablelounge-chairs-by-claudio-sibille/) & [claudiosibille](http://www.claudiosibille.com/) Uruguayan designer Claudio Sibille has created the Twins Coffee Table for those who are really pressed for space in their home or apartment. This [coffee table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table) comes with matching chairs that can be stored inside of it. That’s right, Sibille’s table is hollow and has room for two [lounge chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flipster-seat). To access the chairs, all you have to do is pop a slat off of each of the table’s legs. The chairs resemble those that you would find on a balcony and look perfect for lounging around on. To put the chairs back in storage, all you need to do is fold their legs down. Sibille specializes in creating [combination furniture for cramped living spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expand-furniture), and the Twins Coffee Table certainly fits that bill perfectly. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Space-saving Furniture:** Opportunity to design innovative furniture pieces that maximize spaces in small homes or apartments. - **Combination Furniture:** Potential to create versatile furniture items that serve multiple functions. - **Folding Furniture:** Potential for designing collapsible furniture that can be easily stored when not in use. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Opportunity for furniture designers to tap into the growing market of space-saving and combination furniture. - **Interior Design:** Potential for interior designers to recommend and incorporate space-saving furniture solutions in small living spaces. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor brands to offer innovative and functional furniture options for customers with limited space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Transforming Stool-Integrated Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quartet-side-table.md) - [Reversable Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reverse.md) - [Bookshelf-Incorporated Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/overlap-table.md) - [Minimalist Book Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-coffee-table.md) - [Puzzle-Like Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twinsmdf.md) - [Storage-Attached Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-chair.md) - [Modular Table Seatings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-table-and-chair.md) - [Versatile Nesting Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozmo-1.md) - [Bent Multi-Functional Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-shell-table.md)
