Twine is a conceptual device designed to hook up everything and anything you own to the Internet. The gadget is a small, blue brick equipped with WiFi and a variety of sensors. Twine can be programmed to send you tweets, texts or email messages when its sensors are tripped.

Twine was created by David Carr and John Kestner. The device is aimed at those who would rather receive a tweet that their laundry is done as opposed to actually checking it. The gadget is designed to make hooking up objects to the Internet easy and features a [customizable online interface](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-home-interfaces) that is easy to understand and use. Twine features several internal and external sensors that monitor things like heat, [moisture and motion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threshold-care).

Twine is a small step towards a future in which everything may very well be connected to the Internet in some fashion. If you want that future now, then you can contribute to Twine's development by donating to its [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fingerbot-sense) page.
