The project opens up the once-narrow ground floor into a generous living area while preserving smaller spaces such as a snug and sitting room. Its defining feature is a twin-pitch roof that draws daylight into the new extension, giving the home both character and warmth. Upstairs, the remodel provides a master suite with a walk-in wardrobe, along with guest rooms, a study, and loft spaces that make the most of the existing structure. Sustainability remains central with improved insulation, wood-fibre construction, double glazing, and an electric heat pump ensuring comfort with low energy use. Finishes in [lime plaster, timber joinery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clay-house), and muted tones add a quiet elegance. The result is a family home that balances practicality, atmosphere, and environmental performance.
