Made from [wood and hollowed out](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charity-hanger) to allow for coin containment, the Twiggy Piggy Bank is handmade in Germany with a sharp attention to detail. When a baby is born, giving the parents a blue or pink [ceramic piggy bank](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inferno) with a single penny inside is a way to wish them well and the Twiggy Piggy Bank is a modern approach to doing so. Instead of becoming outdated and possibly despised by the child, the bank can be kept for a lifetime because of it's rugged good looks, attention to detail and tough build. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Traditional Piggy Bank Redesign:** Opportunity to reimagine the classic piggy bank design with modern materials and a focus on durability. - **Handcrafted Coin Containers:** Growing demand for handmade coin containers that combine functionality with aesthetic appeal. - **Good Luck Keepsakes:** Increasing interest in meaningful and lasting gifts that symbolize good luck and well-wishes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Toy Manufacturing:** Innovative piggy bank designs present potential for toy manufacturers to create unique and engaging products. - **Craftsmanship:** Handmade coin containers offer opportunities for artisans and craftsmen to showcase their skills and expertise. - **Gift and Souvenir:** Market for personalized and meaningful gifts could benefit from the popularity of good luck keepsakes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paper-Made Piggy Banks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metallic-piggy-bank.md) - [Kintsugi-Inspired Piggy Banks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/penny-piggy-bank.md) - [Digital Currency Piggy Banks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-piggy-bank-concept.md) - [Wishing Well-Inspired Coin Banks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coin-bank-concept.md) - [Swine-Shaped Bottle Whiskeys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/10year-rye-whiskey.md) - [Gilded Swine Spirits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whistlepig-piggybank-rye-gold-edition.md) - [Neurodivergent Virtual Budgeting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-purple-piggy-bank.md) - [Sustainable Wooden Natural Materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forestbank.md) - [Whimsical Doll-Inspired Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pidgin.md)
