Designed and created by adventure brand MMTH Gear, this [survival tool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basecamp-survival-kit) focuses mainly on clearing large snow drifts and comes equipped with multiple features that make this task a breeze. Built to be incredibly compact, the TUSK Survival Shovel can easily fit into a bag or compartment. This [compact size](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/victorinox-pocketknives) also allows the tool to fit under cars and other objects, to clear them of compacting snow. The tool itself is comprised of an impact-resistant and lightweight chassis that has been shaped in a unique fashion for comfortable use. While the TUSK Survival Shovel functions primarily as a snow shovel, the tool improves on this central feature with a [retractable steel digging spade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crkt-provoke-x), an extra-wide scraper and elastomer wipers. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Compact Survival Shovels:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in creating compact, multi-functional survival tools for dealing with different weather conditions. - **Inclement Winter Conditions:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in developing specialized tools and equipment to tackle challenges posed by severe winter weather. - **Adventure Gear:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the adventure gear industry by designing and creating innovative survival tools that cater to specific needs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor Equipment and Gear:** Opportunity for disruption by developing and marketing compact survival shovels as essential tools for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers. - **Automotive:** Opportunity for disruption by designing and promoting compact survival shovels that can be easily stored and used for clearing snow from vehicles. - **Winter Sports:** Opportunity for disruption by incorporating compact survival shovels as must-have accessories for winter sports enthusiasts and professionals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Durable Outdoor Camping Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-camping-multitool.md) - [High-Performance Snow Shovels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-snow-shovel.md) - [Adaptable Overlander Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heavyduty-multitool.md) - [Lightweight Skeletal Multi-Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skeletal-multitool.md) - [Proficient Pack-Friendly Axes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camp-axe.md) - [Camper Multitool Axes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zombinator-survival-hatchet.md) - [Compact Camping Multi-Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gerber-stake-out.md) - [Micro Metallic Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/titanium-fire-starter-and-multitool.md) - [Wilderness Exploration Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gerber-gear-stake-out.md)
