TurtleCell simultaneously solves the problem of tangled and lost headphones by building your personal audio system straight into the case. The earbuds are stored snugly inside the case when not in use and conveniently extend out when you feel like some music. The in-case buds extend 4-feet so that anyone can use the case comfortably. In addition to being convenient, the case also incorporates high quality sound technology. TurtleCell incorporates headphones that would traditionally retail for $30 to $40. All of this is stored in a protective case that is 3mm thinner than an [OtterBox](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otterbox) case and 7mm thinner than an EarGear case. The TurtleCell is currently available on [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neckphone-tri) for the iPhone 5 and the [iPod](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urban-sophistication) touch. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 11% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Earbud-integrated Phone Cases:** The TurtleCell iPhone Case combines the functionality of a phone case with built-in headphones, offering convenience and eliminating the problem of tangled or lost earbuds. - **Convenience of In-case Buds:** Incorporating high quality sound technology, the TurtleCell allows users to store their earbuds inside the case when not in use, providing a convenient and easily accessible audio solution. - **Slim and Protective Design:** With a protective case that is thinner than other popular brands, such as OtterBox and EarGear, the TurtleCell offers a sleek and slim option for iPhone users who desire a built-in headphone solution. ### Where This Applies - **Technology:** The integration of headphones into phone cases presents an opportunity for technology companies to innovate and create new audio solutions for mobile devices. - **Electronics:** The TurtleCell iPhone Case taps into the electronics industry, providing a unique product that combines phone case protection with built-in headphones, offering consumers a convenient and all-in-one solution. - **Fashion Accessories:** The TurtleCell iPhone Case represents a disruptive innovation in the fashion accessories industry, combining stylish phone case designs with integrated headphones, catering to individuals who seek both fashion and functionality in their mobile accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Screen-Incorporated Earbud Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tour-pro.md) - [Slim Magnetic Smartphone Earbuds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-tws.md) - [Touchscreen Case Earbud Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dtws-earbuds.md) - [Earbud-Equipped Cellphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nokia-5710-xpressaudio.md) - [Hybrid Wearable Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neckphone-tri.md) - [Ultra-Durable Earbud Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allweather-airpods-case.md) - [Biodegradable Earbud Protectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/incipio-organicore.md) - [Contoured Ear-Hugging Headphone Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/earbugs.md) - [Photographer-Targeted Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phone-cases1.md)
