With the return of summer comes the [use of fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-cooling) at home and in the office. The 'Branch' fan was designed by Kwanjun Ryu and looks just like a [desk lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ovo-lamp). The fan sits on a flat circular base with a protruding flexible rod that holds the head of the fan. The owner can turn the head in any way they need the wind directed at, making this a fan that can be placed in almost any room for any purpose. The turning fan's [sleek minimalist design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shark-turboblade) ensures that it will be able to match any home aesthetic. This lamp-like fan is modern and would be an excellent summer purchase. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Flexible Fans:** The development of fans that can be bent and directed in various ways is a trend that addresses the need for personalized cooling. - **Disguised Fans:** The design of fans that embody a minimalist aesthetic while blending into other household objects is a trend that offers an understated way to stay comfortable. - **Multipurpose Fans:** Creating fans that can also serve other functions such as a lamp or decor is a trend that offers a two-in-one solution for consumers seeking product versatility. ### Where This Applies - **Home Appliances:** Incorporating flexible and multipurpose fans into home appliance offerings could be an opportunity for differentiation in a crowded and established industry. - **Office Furniture:** Flexible fans that double as office lighting could be incorporated into desk and table designs for a more streamlined approach to office furniture design. - **Home Decor:** Disguised fans that blend into the overall home decor could be a novel trend for home decor stores to explore, attracting customers looking for multifunctional items. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Flexible Portable Tiny Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-fans.md) - [Lamp-Equipped Fan Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abode-gale-fan.md) - [Rectangular Bladeless Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rectangular-bladeless-fans.md) - [Modern Compact Wooden Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fantastic-fan.md) - [Compact Circulator Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circulator-fan.md) - [Florally-Inspired Ceiling Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossom-ceiling-fan.md) - [Connected Multi-Mode Table Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreo-wingboost-x.md) - [Two-in-One Rechargeable Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/appliance-concept.md) - [Smart Ceiling Fan Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fanpro.md)
